I saw Horton Hears A Who today. It Was a great movie! I really enjoyed it. And I have a little different take on it in the prophetic sense than most folks I have talked to. I see it as a picture of the church and its need for reformation... Of course that's where I see most everything.
Horton is the church that has a heart for the youth of today that doesn't judge. Doesn't need to mold the coming generation into a static form that has no life or ability to change.
The next generation has already rejected that scenario, and I am with them.
A rainbow mohawk to say, "We are here!"
Black fingernails to say, "We are here!!"
Piercings and tattoos to say, "We are here!!!"
Meanwhile, there is a kangaroo court set up on any given sunday that is judging prospective members according to standards that these upright citizens who follow the letter of the law as it pertains to the culture of the church dictated by the western mindset.
Are we okay so far?
There are a lot of people out there that are happy to say that, "I had to do it it's only fair!" and so are happy with maintaining a status quo that attracts no one who didn't already say that they would come to the church when they got old but wanted to live first.
Nothing fun in the church. Everything is what it was. No changes, no growth, always looking for a new way to make what we do, how we serve the church, what we give our identity instead of who we have become through submitting to the blood of Christ and learning that He has honored us for receiving Him.
Not how we have accounted for our money, nor how much we give to the "body" that we belong to. Not how we have mowed the lawn at the church or filled a sunday school teachers void, but how we trust that His sacrifice paid our and got us in right standing before the Father. A God who is set apart from all that is imperfect, shattered, bent- has gathered all those who will acknowledge His great love for them seeing the price He paid in pain and suffering, in a world that He created, So that we could be friends.
So believe me when I say that I can hear a Who and I long to give them a safe platform to go about their daily lives on in safety.
I hope that works for you.

Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Impressora e Multifuncional, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://impressora-multifuncional.blogspot.com. A hug.
Saw it too--about the same time. I of course was looking for the pro-life message since that is the grid I was pre-conditioned to see. That came thru pretty clearly: "a person's a person no matter how small", said Jim Carey several times thru-out. IBut I see your view and say pour fuel on that fire, brotha!! Old mind-sets die slowly but we are living proof it can be done, right?
